YES, you can purchase a suppressor or silencer from EDGE Firearms and NO, you don’t need a special license to own one!
The Second Amendment protects your right to purchase a suppressor.
Hollywood and uneducated politicians love to incorrectly portray suppressors as tools used only by assassins and poachers. Truth is suppressors have a real life benefit for families, hunters, competition shooters, and gun enthusiasts. It’s a quieter way to shoot!
Silencers don’t really “silence” a weapon, but they do have the ability to suppress the sound level of the muzzle blast to a hearing safe level which will allow you to shoot without hearing protection! The physical makeup of a suppressor is simply a series of chambers which help contain and re-direct a firearm’s expanding gasses. They work similar to an automobile’s muffler.
Why should you purchase a suppressor?
Suppressors benefit accuracy, reduce felt recoil, and significantly reduce the muzzle flip of a handgun, a benefit for shooters at any level. Suppressed fire can significantly reduce pre-ignition push---that flinch that may happen when shooters anticipate the round going off. Using suppressors can also make private and public shooting ranges more neighborly. Suppressors are just a fun and pleasant way to shoot and the staff at EDGE Firearms would love to help you purchase yours!
